Who Often Gets Knee Pain?

Knee pain is surprisingly common and can affect people of all ages. While certain age groups are more susceptible, such as the elderly over 65, due to normal wear and tear of joints, knee pain can also plague individuals who suffer from athletic injuries and poor posture. Research shows that individuals with a higher body mass index have an increased risk of developing knee pain due to the force placed on their knees.

In contrast, those who participate in activities like running and jumping have a higher chance of developing tendinitis or general inflammation in their knee joints. Although some cases require medical intervention, many instances of knee pain can be addressed by lifestyle changes, limiting high-impact activity, maintaining a healthy weight, employing restorative exercises for long-term relief, and stretching regularly.
